Start a new habit

Start a new habit

Take the opportunity to establish a new good habit during the summer. Is there something you thought you should do for a long time but haven’t gotten started with? Then summer is the right time to start your own new routine.
When you start a new habit, it almost always feels daunting in the beginning. This is because it requires a huge amount of energy every time you start. A new habit is like a space rocket. Deferred – getting out of the atmosphere requires huge amounts of energy. But as soon as you cross that border, the rocket goes more or less by itself. The same applies to us when we start with, for example, a new training routine or change our diet. So just get started and do not feel so much how it feels in the beginning. What does it do if it’s a little hard, it will soon be much easier.
Habits
Habits that is established when we are kids can be almost impossible to break. For example, brushing our teeth. This is something most people spend time on in the morning, but which you hardly even think about. What characterizes a habit is that they are so deep in us that they do not require any special energy from us to perform them. The things we do daily that are founded at a young age can be almost impossible to break. That’s why it’s so amazing when parents create and plant good habits for their children right from the start. If children learn basic good routines regarding, for example, hygiene, healthy eating and exercise, there is a greater chance that they as adults hardly need to think about doing these things. Eating healthy and nutritious food and exercising regularly will not be experienced as an effort if this is in the routines from growing up. Repeat, repeat and repeat. The more times you do a new thing, the easier it goes.
66 days
When you as an adult want to start a completely new habit, it can sometimes be hard and difficult, but everything does not have to be so fun all the time. Studies have shown that it takes an average of 66 days for us to get into a new routine where we do not have to actively struggle to implement it. A study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology found that some people got into new routines after just 18 days, while others may need up to 245 days. We are so different!
I’ts never too late
What is exciting is that it is never too late to create changes that help us live a better and healthier life! However, it requires effort, willpower and a strategy from us just the first time to succeed. Never give up! Everyone deserves a healthy and wholesome life!
